Photo Mug Printing in Palakollu

In short

Photo mugs are ₹299 for a standard white ceramic mug, ₹399 for inner-colour and ₹449 for magic colour-changing or heart-handle mugs. Printing takes about twenty minutes, so a single mug can be collected the same day from our Palakollu shop.

A mug is the gift people actually use, which is the whole point. The print is sublimated into the glaze at 180°C rather than stuck on, so it goes through daily washing without peeling. That is the difference between a mug that lasts and one that looks sad by month three.

What makes a mug print come out well

  • Keep faces away from the handle. A mug is a cylinder, so roughly 20mm each side of the handle curves out of comfortable view. We position for this automatically, but knowing it changes which photograph you choose.
  • A landscape group photograph beats a portrait one every time. The print area is wider than it is tall, so a vertical photo has to be shrunk to fit and ends up small in the middle of a lot of white.
  • Magic mugs are not dishwasher safe and no amount of care changes that. The heat sensitive coating that hides the photograph degrades in a dishwasher cycle. Hand washed, they last for years.
  • For office bulk orders, put the logo opposite the handle and a small name on the handle side. Everyone then has their own mug, and the pantry stops losing them, which is the actual problem you are solving.

Frequently asked questions

How much does photo mug printing cost in Palakollu?

₹299 for a white ceramic mug, ₹399 inner-colour, ₹449 for magic colour-changing or heart-handle. Bulk rates from ₹199 at fifty pieces.

Can I get a mug printed the same day?

Yes. Printing and pressing takes about twenty minutes plus cooling time, so a mug ordered in the morning is ready by afternoon.

Will the print come off in the wash?

No. The ink is sublimated into the ceramic glaze at 180°C, not stuck on top, so normal washing does not affect it. Magic colour-changing mugs should be hand washed as the coating is more delicate.

What photo resolution do I need for a mug?

At least 1200×1000 pixels. Send the photo through WhatsApp as a document rather than as an image so it is not compressed.

Do you do bulk mug printing for offices?

Yes, and rates drop from ten pieces. Fifty white mugs with the same logo work out to ₹199 each. Different names on each mug cost ₹20 extra per piece.

Can you print on steel or travel mugs?

Yes, steel travel mugs are ₹649. The print area is smaller than on ceramic, so simple logos work better than detailed photographs.

How many mugs can you do in a day?

About sixty with the same design, more if we start early. A large office order of a hundred takes two days rather than one, and we would rather say that than promise same day and hand you rushed work.

Do you supply the mug or can I bring my own?

We supply. Sublimation needs a mug with a polymer coating on the ceramic, and a plain mug bought from a shop has no coating, so the ink has nothing to bond to and wipes off. This is the one place where bringing your own does not work.

Will the print survive daily washing?

Yes on ceramic. The ink is sublimated into the glaze at 180 degrees rather than stuck on top, so it does not peel or fade with normal washing. We do not use stickers or transfers on mugs, which is what fails on cheaper printed mugs.

Can you print two different photos on one mug?

Yes. The print wraps the full circumference, so one photograph either side of the handle works well, or a photograph on one side and text on the other. Send both images and tell us which goes where.
