Wedding Card Printing in Palakollu

In short

Wedding cards start at ₹25 each for a printed two-fold card and run to ₹300 for box and scroll cards. We set the matter in Telugu and English, print inserts and envelopes, and deliver within seven to ten days of approval. Bring the muhurtham details and the family names.

Wedding card matter is the one job where a mistake cannot be quietly reprinted. We read the matter back to the family, line by line, before anything is printed, including the gotram, the elders' names and the order they appear in.

How it works, step by step

  1. Pick the card

    in shop

Come and handle the samples. Photographs do not convey paper weight, and paper weight is most of what makes a card feel right.

  2. Give the matter

    day 1

Names, gotram, muhurtham date and time, venue, elders' names in order, and the phone numbers for both sides.

  3. We set and read it back

    day 2

You get a printed proof, not just a screen proof. Two people from the family should read it independently.

  4. Print run

    5 to 12 days

Depending on the card. Foil, laser cutting and box assembly add days.

  5. Delivery

    on date

Delivered packed in hundreds with envelopes, ready to address.

Splitting the order, premium cards for close family, simple cards for the wider list, is what most families here actually do.

From twenty years of setting wedding matter

  • Order fifteen percent more than your guest list. Names get added right up to the week before, and a second short run costs almost as much as the first because the setup is paid twice.
  • Proof the muhurtham time in the Telugu and the English separately. When one card carries both, a reader checks one language and assumes the other matches. That mismatch is the single most common error we catch, and the one most likely to reach print if we do not.
  • Get the elders names and their order confirmed by the eldest person in the family in writing, not over a phone call. This is the correction that arrives after printing, and it is the one that cannot be shrugged off.
  • Start twenty five days before the wedding for a box or scroll card. Laser cutting and box assembly are done outside Palakollu and cannot be rushed in season, whatever anybody promises you.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a wedding card cost in Palakollu?

From ₹25 for a simple printed two-fold card to ₹300 for a box card with a sweet compartment. Traditional Telugu cards with inserts are ₹45 and are the most commonly chosen.

How early should I order wedding cards?

Fifteen days before you want to start distributing for a printed card, and twenty-five days for laser-cut, scroll or box cards. In peak marriage season, add a week.

Do you set the matter in Telugu?

Yes, Telugu and English, at no extra charge. We provide a printed proof and read it back before printing.

What is the minimum number of wedding cards?

100 for printed cards, 50 for scroll and box cards.

Do you supply envelopes with the cards?

Yes, envelopes and inserts are included from the traditional range upward. On the ₹25 card they cost ₹4 each extra.

Can you print a matching reception or haldi card?

Yes. Matching inserts, reception cards, sweet box labels and thank-you cards are all set from the same design at a lower rate since the artwork already exists.

Do you print the sweet box labels and welcome board too?

Yes, and from the same artwork so everything matches. Sweet box labels are about 4 rupees each and need the box dimensions, so buy the boxes first. The welcome board needs the venue frame size rather than a guess.

How many spare cards should I keep aside?

Ten, put away separately on the day they arrive. They go into the album, and people ask for one years later. Families who do not do this always come back asking whether we still have the file, and after three years we usually do not.

What happens if a name is spelt wrong after printing?

It cannot be corrected, only reprinted, which is why we give a printed proof rather than only a screen proof and ask two people from the family to read it separately. Once you approve the proof, responsibility for the matter passes to you.

Do you print the wedding invitation in both Telugu and English?

Yes, on the same card or as a card and insert, and the matter setting is free either way. Bilingual cards need both versions proofed separately, particularly the date and the muhurtham time.
